22nd Jan - Cat on a Hot Tin Roof!

I can finally say - I have a new job! Today I started rehearsing for Tennesee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at the Belvoir St. Theatre, Sydney! I will be playing one of the three children and the play will run from 16th Feb-7th Apr  with 8 shows a week so I will be sharing my role with one other boy. I am so excited to be working again, especially at such a fantastic theatre with some of Australia's finest actors. Exciting times ahead! For more info go to:

8th Jan 2013 - school holiday fun!

Happy New Year everyone! It was 42C outside today so I stayed in and made this short film about a disappearing water bottle! I did all the filming and editing myself with no help. Hope you like it - making films is great fun!

The Disappearing Water Bottle

18th Dec - new video!

Here is my latest singing video recorded at a recent school concert - I love this song!

Alex singing Panis Angelicus

5th Dec - Exam Result!

I got an A+ High Distinction for my AMEB grade 4 Drama and Performance exam last weekend - yay! The examiner said "It was one of those performances that makes examining a delight". So pleased because I worked so hard but now I'm going to have fun with my friends, then it's Christmas!

12th Nov - Acting Scholarship!

Just found out that I won the Junior (years 7, 8 and 9) Acting Scholarship for next year at my school!!! The best news EVER! Now I can study acting 4 days a week all through next year which I LOVE. Soooooo happy!

8th Nov - TV Commercial

My new TV Commercial is on the internet (and should be on TV next week). It's for the National Broadband Network and you can catch it on Youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=06DKel-XMpU

4th Nov - Fun filming and hard work!

Still crazy busy even though it's nearly the end of the year now! I've had a few auditions, some of which I'm still waiting to hear about, and some still to go, so lots of preparation to do. Last week I made a film about diabetes awareness which was very interesting and afterwards they said "Alex was friendly, witty and performed as instructed by the director, due to this he was lots of fun to work with. In my honest opinion; Alex is a bright, energetic and talented young boy and I believe he will progress greatly in his future career" which was really nice! I hope they are right!

8th October - Result!

Great news - I took my AMEB grade 5 singing exam at the weekend and I found out today that I got an A+ (high distinction)!!! Amazing - especially as it's not recommended you take grade 5 until you are 16 and I am 11 (sorry - bit of showing off there!). It was really hard work though but good to get the qualifications. More exams and auditions coming up soon - better get practising!
