A message from Alex:

Hi there and thanks for checking out my website! I am an 18 year old British / Aussie actor, singer, film maker, composer and designer (anything creative really) and have been working semi-professionally as an actor /singer for the last 8 years or so. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in some pretty amazing productions including playing 'Michael Banks' in the Sydney season of 'Mary Poppins' at the Capitol Theatre, 'Under Milk Wood' with the Sydney Theatre Company, 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' with the Belvoir Street Theatre Company, 'Intersection' with ATYP, 3 seasons with Opera Australia and 3 seasons of pantomime at the King Street Theatre, Newtown, along with a number of film and television appearances. I am also a classically trained baritone singer (AMusA Dist.) and give regular vocal recitals around Sydney where I am currently based, although I am hoping to work overseas in the future. Hope you enjoy my website!

4th Jan - Intersection and the Wizard of Oz

Happy new year and welcome to 2017 which I'm sure is going to be just FABULOUS! Some exciting things coming up including playing the scarecrow in my (new) school musical 'The Wizard of Oz' at the NIDA Parade Theatres at the end of March. I was also fortunate enough to be cast in the upcoming ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People) production of 'Intersection' playing from the 1st-18th Feb down at the Wharf in Sydney. See the sidebar on the right for details - very exciting and a great start to 2017! Tickets are on sale now - hope to see you there! #ATYP_INTERSECTION

17th Dec - Rapunzel opening show!

First performance of Rapunzel went down a storm at the Kings Street Theatre, Newtown. Make sure you catch the show next week!

Here's a pic of me with my school mates plus my fabulous cast mates Simon Ward, Jacqui Greenfield (and Thomas Adams who was taking photos). Thanks also to Maria de Marco (writer, stage manager, FOH, everything else...) for making it all possible!

14th December - new videos

So after a long weekend of filming we have 'Shards' in the can (well, on the SD card) - thanks to all the fabulous cast / crew (they did both) and to JVC for the loan of the cameras! Here is a link to the trailer - more to be released next month.

Shards

With a couple of hours to spare, we decided to make our own version of Ricky Gervais masterpiece 'The office' - called 'Office Complexity'. I co-directed, shot and edited this one but am planning to appear in the next episode coming soon - enjoy!

Shards

Had a great weekend directing my new 3 part found-footage series 'Shards' - coming soon in 2017!

30th Nov - movies, musicals and more..

Sorry to have been offline for so long - I had school exams, a singing exam and loads of other not so interesting things I had to do but now I'M BACK and have been busy working on a number of projects.

Last week I filmed a couple of scenes in my first feature film,'Liebe', directed by the amazing Sasha Hadden with world famous cinematographer Don McAlpine (Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, The Dressmaker) which was very exciting!

Now I am busy in rehearsals for this year's pantomime, Rapunzel, at the King Street Theatre (see left) along with rehearsals for next year's school musical, The Wizard of Oz, where I will be playing the scarecrow.

Great to back in the theatre or working on film sets, and also having the time to write music again - look out for my latest EP - Impia (Oculorum) at soundcloud.com/oculorum/sets/impia  (see photo below).

Only one more week of school to go then - PARTY TIME!

21st September

A crazy week of performances and auditions then back to work. My final senior showcase at McDonald College last week was amazing as always (see below for my turn as Cyrano de Bergerac!) then this Fri and Sat I am acting in the Premiere State Ballet production of Coppelia at Riverside Theatre Paramatta. Have no fear - I am not actually doing any ballet - I'll leave that to the experts! Then it's exams...enough said. Some good times ahead though!

3rd September 2016

Honoured to win first place in the Senior Rotary Scholarship Final for drama at Ryde Eisteddfod today! Worked hard for that one - had to recite a set poem and then perform a monologue (I was Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet). Eisteddfod season over, now for showcase!

24th August - new video

Here is a link to my latest video based on "Die Alte" by Mozart. Young people these days....!
